Day 1 – Early Arrival
- At your arrival in Kigali, you’ll be picked up at the airport and be taken to a local restaurant, where you will be met for a briefing by a member of Zip Tours Agency (ZTA)
- A lunch or refreshments will be served then drive further to Akagera National Park
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 2 – Akagera Game Drive
- After breakfast start a full day game drive
- Lunch at your Hotel
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 3 – Kigali city tour
- After breakfast drive back to kigali
- Explore the most historic and traditional places in Kigali.
- Lunch at a local restaurant
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 4 - Royal Palace &National Museum
- After breakfast drive to Butare then take visit to the Royal Palace
- And National Museum
- Lunch in Butare
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 5 - Trekking for Chimpanzee
- Today after an early breakfast you will trek for chimps
- Lunch Gisakura Guest House
- Afternoon you will visit a nearby tea plantation
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 6 - Trekking for Colobus monkey /waterfall trail
- Today after breakfast by your choice you will be taken for trekking colobus monkey or to view water falls.
- Lunch at the Lodge
- Afternoon at leisure
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 7
- After breakfast drive to Kibuye
- Lunch at Moriah Hill Resort
- Afternoon visit the nearby memorial Church or take a scenic drive a long the lake
- Exploring the area
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 8 - Boat ride
- After breakfast take a boat ride to kibuye
- Enjoy the beauty of the majestic mountains surrounding this 2,700 km2 (1,040 sq mi) central African lake.
- With an opportunity to visit different islands in the lake
- Lunch at a local restaurant
- Afternoon at leisure with an opportunity to swim in the lake or at the hotel swimming pool
Day 9– Trekking for Golden monkey
- An early breakfast will be served at your hotel and then,
- 7h00 a.m: you’ll be at the office of the park to receive a briefing after which you will star your trek for Golden monkey
- After trekking, the driver will be waiting for you and drive you back to your lodge
- Llunch will be served at your lodge
- Then in the afternoon you will be taken to view the twin lakes Burera &Ruhondo
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 10
- 1st day for trekking mountain gorillas
- An early breakfast will be served at your hotel and then,
- 7h00 a.m: you’ll be at the office of the park to receive a briefing and you will be allocated a gorilla family that you’ll be visiting.
- A driver will take you to the starting point at the base of the mountain where a guide will take you to probably one of the most rewarding experience of your life, in which you will spend some time with one family of the few remaining 650 mountain gorillas in the world
- After trekking, the driver will be waiting for you and drive you back to your lodge
- Lunch will be served at your lodge
- Then in the afternoon take a visit the to the “Ibyiwacu Ex-Poachers Village”, where you will learn about our traditional culture
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 11
- 2nd day for trekking mountain gorillas
- This second day you will have another exciting opportunity to spend some time with a different gorilla family.
- Remember the more families you visit, the better understanding you of these rare surviving primates.
- Lunch at your hotel
- And then drive back to your to Kigali
- Tonight you will be take at a local African restaurant for a farewell dinner
- Dinner and overnight at your Hotel
Day 12- Departure
- Airport transfer for your departure flight
